1st July 2019 Samsung debuts its folding device

Unveiled prior to MWC, the Samsung Galaxy Fold demonstrates the company’s commitment to providing leading edge technology.

It’s both a phone and a tablet. It has a 7.3 inch AMOLED Infinity Flex Display that folds in two for a 4.6 inch 840 x 1960 display. Each screen can either work on their own or together. It also supports Universal Flash storage 3.0, a first for a mobile phone. There are six cameras on the Galaxy fold: three on the rear, two on the inside and one on the front. It runs on Android 9 Pie, has 12GB RAM and 512GB storage and a 4380mAh battery. Galaxy Fold is apparently capable of charging itself and a second device simultaneously via Wireless PowerShare, while connected to a regular charger.

It comes in a range of colours: Space Silver, Cosmos Black, Martian Green and Astro Blue, with a price tag just under £2000 and is scheduled to be available in the UK on 3rd May.
