Using VR in a business application

Healthcare is a great example of where Exertis has worked with a SMB reseller, ImmersiCare, to provide ground-breaking implementation of virtual reality into the daily lives of patients living with dementia for its customer Quantum Care Homes, using it as a therapeutic engagement activity. As part of this ground-breaking project, Exertis built both a commercial and technology solution which incorporated a website, marketing support (including a full branding-proposition), training, an out-of-the-box solution that contains all the necessary PC hardware (a VR-ready laptop), and an Oculus Rift VR headset. By providing a single-box, VR-ready solution, ImmersiCare could include their in-house developed software with 12 relaxing and immersive environments pre-installed in the package. The solution was one of the first to use Oculus for Business.

Alex Smale, ImmersiCare, managing director said, “The support from Exertis has been absolutely fantastic, they’ve been incredibly helpful in putting in place all the things that we aren’t able to do as a small business to enable our product to reach a wider world”

ImmersiCare won “the Best use of VR in Healthcare at the VR Awards 2017.
