10th September 2019 Exertis Gains Recertification of ISO 9001

Exertis, a leading distributor of technology products for the B2B, enterprise, mobile and retail markets, today announced that it has secured recertification of its ISO 9001 accreditation. ISO 9001 is defined as the international standard that specifies requirements for a quality management system (QMS). Organisations use the standard to demonstrate their ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements. It is the only standard in the ISO 9000 series to which organisations can certify.

Richard Hinds, Exertis UK&I, chief operating officer said, “As a recognised standard worldwide, ISO 9001 gives our customers and partners confidence that we work to standards and procedures that will provide them with a high degree of quality and service. We attach great importance to quality and having that checked regularly by an independent organisation is evidence that customers are at the core of our business. In addition, an ISO 9001 certification is often a pre-requisite and minimum requirement for some of our vendors when they are considering suppliers or tendering for business opportunities.”

Subject to satisfactory annual reviews, certification is valid for three years and covers the Goods In, Customer Services and Accounts Payable functions at Exertis.Exertis also has ISO 27001 accreditation, the international standard for managing information security, for its professional services operation which facilitates a range of support contracts for customers from its Technical Assistance Centre and is a certification body for the IASME Governance standard for Cyber Essentials Plus certifications.
