28th July 2022 Customer success with SASE solutions

Meet the businesses who have boosted their productivity with VMware’s SASE

In the ever-changing landscape of the tech industry, it can be difficult to navigate which solutions really are the best for your customers, while delivering the best value for both your business and theirs. But here at Exertis, our job is to make it easier to find the very best for your customers. So we’ve complied some examples of VMware’s SASE technology doing real good for real businesses.

Whole Foods Market saves hundreds of staff hours

Whole Foods Market relies on data and applications running over wireless networks to manage its stores and distribution centres. When connectivity problems happen, the costs can include lost sales, bottlenecks in the flow of goods, IT time and frustration, and, worst of all, unhappy customers. Whole Foods needed a clearer picture of what was really happening in their wireless networks. After a short proof of concept, they quickly recognised that VMware Edge Network Intelligence, part of VMware SASE, could offer important benefits in addition to the solutions they had in place. Now the company has true visibility into the root causes of network problems.

Full network visibility is key at Brandeis University

The Brandeis University network constantly generates reams of data, and the volume can be a challenge. Manually sifting through each relevant log and data point when a network problem happens would be nearly impossible. Without a single source of truth to establish baselines for normal operations, the University’s IT lacks visibility, and that hampers their ability to remediate issues when they occur. VMware Edge Network IntelligenceTM (formerly Nyansa Voyance) shows Brandeis a clear picture of network activity through all layers and helps them eliminate guesswork. Brandeis’ IT can not only fix problems faster, but analytics help them predict and prevent future network problems.

Schoeller Allibert increases network visibility, performance, and security

Over the past decade, Schoeller Allibert has gone through a number of mergers and acquisitions, resulting in a fragmented IT landscape. They’ve now implemented a Videns SASE solution to allow remote implementation. So there wasn’t a need for engineers on site, and the incredible flexibility of Videns resulted in a fast roll-out at locations. Schoeller Allibert was using a lot of legacy technology, so it needed to better secure the infrastructure core. Spokesperson Peter Koning says that “with the explosion of ransomware and other security risks, we wanted a solution that filters all internet traffic before it enters our network”
“Instead of adding more firewalls, we have now integrated security into our SD-WAN.”
